Wednesday Night Services

Wednesday Nights at North Clay are a great opportunity to fellowship with other believers and learn and grow in faith.

We offer a variety of services that start at 6:30pm on Wednesday Nights

Prayer Meeting

The Wednesday Night Prayer Meeting is both a time of prayer and of Bible study.

Typically led by Pastor Tim Evans, the service begins with a review of the church prayer sheet, which is updated weekly to reflect the current prayer requests of the church. Upon review of the prayer sheet, we spend time bringing these petitions before the Lord in prayer.

Following our time of prayer, we open God's word for the purpose of Bible study. We take time to survey the books of the Bible, placing an emphasis on the context and the continuity of the biblical narrative from Genesis to Revelation. This means that, on any given Wednesday, we are working through a book of the Bible, picking up where we left off in the previous week. Once we have worked our way from Genesis to Revelation, we start back over from the beginning.

Our Wednesday Night Prayer Meeting is a great opportunity to fellowship with the church through prayer and study.

Student Service

Every Wednesday night from 6:30 - 8pm, we gather together with our 7th-12th grade students to worship the Lord through song and preaching!

Our student ministry is modeled after Luke 24:32 - “They said to each other, ‘Did not our hearts burn within us while he talked to us on the road, while he opened to us the Scriptures?

In these verses there is a threefold design we follow:

  • Disciple students to burn with passion for the Lord
  • See students walk with Christ everywhere they go
  • Open the Scripture and teach the Gospel every time we gather

AWANA

AWANA is a world-wide nonprofit ministry focused on providing Bible-based evangelism and discipleship solutions for children.

On Wednesdays beginning at 6:30pm we gather together our children (K3 - 6th grade) for Bible study, Scripture memorization, and games in our AWANA ministry!

  • K3 - K4 boys and girls are enrolled in our Cubbies program  which celebrates the spiritual potential of preschoolers by helping them develop respect for God, His Son, and His Word. Lessons (called Bear Hugs) include memory verses, Bible lessons, and activities that teach basic core truths about God, Jesus, and salvation.
  • K5 - 2nd grade boys and girls are enrolled into our Sparks Club.  The Sparks program contains memory verses of gradually increasing difficulty, teaching children more about Jesus, God and His Word. Sparks’ Handbooks provide a complete overview of the Bible from Genesis to Revelation.
  • 3rd - 6th graders are enrolled in our T&T program.  AWANA Truth and Training Club is exactly what the name implies: teaching boys and girls the truth of God’s Word and training them to follow God and live lives of grace.  AWANA T&T rotation includes Large Group Lesson Time, Small Group/Handbook time, and Games.
